The
Call
Saturday afternoon, I was sitting on my porch in Charleston,
West Virginia which is about 425 miles away from N.C.
talking with my sister, son and nephew. Getting ready
to go to Charlotte, NC to visit my daughter and see the
man "Eric Benet" in concert on Sunday. My phone rang with
this number I have never seen. When I answered the phone
it was Troylynn telling me I was the winner of the TrueEBfan
Press Pass. I was so excited. She began telling me what
all I would get to do. I couldn't believe it. All I thought
was, I get to meet "Eric Benet," and ask him 3 questions.
I'm telling you, I was so happy.
The Drive
I left West Virginia and on the way down I listened only
to Eric, "The Love & Life," CD and "Spend My Life With
You." Eric got me all the way to Charlotte safely. Thank
GOD and thank you Eric.
Arriving in Charlotte, NC
When I arrived in Charlotte, I told my daughter about
my winnings. I told her we need to find the theatre today
because I don't want to be late. Troylynn told me to go
early. We didn't find the place and it began to get dark,
so we gave up. Sunday afternoon we tried it again. We
finally found it, I was so excited.
Arriving to the Show
When I arrived to the show the doors were locked, and
there was a long line. I went to the front of the line
and knocked on the door and told them what Troylynn told
me to say and some guy said okay, just go to the back
of the line. Okay, I was hot. I thought this isn't good.
Anyway, to keep this long story short. I wasn't able to
do everything but it all ended up wonderful. The Concert
Eric came out wearing a black jacket, white tee, jeans,
a wallet chain and white sneakers. He had on shades and
a scarf. He looked absolutely amazing. Everyone was standing
up and screaming. I mean including the men. After singing
one or two songs Eric began taking off the black jacket
and the shades. All I seen was those arms, they look magnificent.
Everyone finally sat down, and he got to singing again
and these two girls sitting in front of me popped up like
jack-in-the-box. It was so funny. Everyone was singing
along, it was beautiful.
Eric and Kimmie sang one of my favorites "Spend My Life
With You." I thought I would just pass out. They sounded
absolutely beautiful together. I popped up like the jack-in-a-box
and was singing right along with them. I was so happy
I thought I was on stage. Eric closed out the show singing
Georgy Porgy. Everyone in the theatre followed his lead.
It was so nice. I thought, I have never been to a better
concert in my life. He then introduced his amazing band.
After the Show
I was able to go to the back and take two pictures with
Eric. I walked in and he shook my hand and said "how are
you?" I thought, okay girl, don't pass out. So I then
said, "I'm fine, the show was fantastic." He said, "thank
you." I nervously put my purse and camera down and took
my pictures. I couldn't believe it. He is a very nice
and gentle person.
In Closing
I had an overwhelming time and I feel truly blessed to
have met the man "Mr. Eric Benet" The concert was so beyond
what I have ever dreamed of. And, to Eric. Keep on keeping
on. You are truly blessed.
LOVE , PEACE, UNITY, AND OBAMA
